Lumene is a brand from Finland, a country that knows a thing or two about cold weather and its effects on the skin… The company was built around the properties of local ingredients, especially the berries (like lingoberry and cloudberry, full of antioxidants, vitamins C and E), active in many products – from skincare to makeup. They can surely be one of the secrets of Finnish women’s flawless skin!
Well, I didn’t need to go there to discover the brand. My encounter happened at a CVS drugstore in Las Vegas (it is also available at Walgreens, Duane Reade, Ulta, and in Sweden and Russia. In the UK, you can find it at Amazon, obviously). I was looking for a CC Cream and bumped in this ‘6 in 1’ formula (foundation, concealer, primer, illuminator, long lasting formula and SPF 20) that was asking for a try. Loved it! Even more because the colour matched my skin tone perfectly (which is a problem among BBs, CCs and tinted moisturisers). I have been using it for over three years and it’s still my favourite CC cream.
From there, I went searching for more information and found a great range of vitamin C formulas, brightening serums and anti-aging products with very reasonable prices, totally worth buying. Even the make-up is packed with extra benefits! After all, if it works on women who face long and harsh winters it should work for everyone else…
