I really can’t get people that say being lazy to apply moisturiser. What? My shower doesn’t end until I slather lotion all over my body! It’s so good to have that feeling of moisturised, smooth skin, why should I waste it? Plus, as I said before, the water here in London is not skin-friendly, so without a good lotion I start to itch in minutes…
One of my all-time favourites was Avène Eluage Corps, which is not available anymore, unfortunately. Kiehl’s Crème de Corps, La Roche Posay Iso-Urea and Vichy Essentielles are also great to relieve dry, slightly sensitive skin. Neutrogena moisturisers and body balms always have a space in my cabinet, so as Dove lotions. Recently, I discovered Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Body Lotion. It’s thick without leaving a greasy sensation and the fragrance doesn’t make you feel like in a chocolate factory.
Speaking of it, I’m very picky with scents and rather go for a fragrance-free product than being bothered with a lingering smell. My ultimate test is to apply it before going to bed. If the fragrance messes up with my sleep, forget it! The ideal product must leave a subtle, delicate scent and deliver on what is supposed to: moisture. That’s it!
