The Tinted Moisturizer, Secret Camouflage and Lip Kisses (I’m a fan!) from Laura Mercier are absolute hits with makeup fans and awarded many times by beauty experts. Nothing bad for someone who wanted to study art and ended up doing art on faces! When Laura left the Provence and moved to Paris, the art school was soon replaced by a course at Caritá’s beauty institute.
Once there, she became an instructor and was invited to take part in the launching of American Elle, in 1985. As a beauty editor in New York, the opportunities were almost endless and Laura worked with department stores and giants like L’Oréal and Maybelline. But when Madonna, Julia Roberts and Sarah Jessica Parker choose her as the official makeup artist for their editorials and media appearances, she hit the jackpot!
Nevertheless, Laura felt the market needed more products in terms of texture and colours and in 1996 the brand was created. The initial idea was to develop classics beyond seasonal trends but the line has expanded fast and now includes makeup, skincare, body and bath products. All of them smell great and are simply irresistible. Go try one and you’ll be sold!
