Beauty Dilemmas: The Search for the Perfect Mascara

Besides the perfect red lipstick, I also carry an endless search for the perfect mascara, which, according to my standards is not an easy task. It needs to lengthen, separate and thicken my lashes (like Minnie’s and Daisy’s!) but without that artificial ‘doll face’ look. And never, ever leave those annoying clumps!

My obsession reaches a point that I comb one by one with an eyebrow brush until they are perfectly put together. I can’t even concentrate on listening to a person talking if she has those messy little hairs on the top corner of her eyes… I just can’t help it!

Cheerfully, over the years I found some amazing mascaras that leave lashes fuller, lengthened and defined! Among my all-time favourites are:

   mascara-clinique

Clinique High Impact Mascara: my current choice for everyday mascara. The brush is specially designed to thicken and separate and even after many strokes lashes don’t clump.

Dior Show Iconic: amazing to separate and lengthen those tiny little, almost unnoticeable hairs.

Lancôme Hypnôse: still can remember the effect after my first application. Lashes ‘rise and shine’ in mere seconds.

Benefit They’re Real: it’s impressive how lashes stay naturally lengthened and separated.

Make up for Ever Aqua Smoky Lash: it lengthens, thickens and curves. However, since it’s waterproof requires extra time and dedication to be removed, which is not a bad thing as long as you aren’t tired or lazy to deal with some good amount of cleanser and cotton balls!

Wish list: after reading that Charlotte Tilbury used to wear 4 different mascaras before creating her own, I’m curious to try her Full Flat Lashes…
