She was just 13 when found about the power of a good mascara. From there, decided that was going to use makeup as a tool to empower women. The plan worked wonders and Charlotte Tilbury became one of the most respected makeup artists in the fashion industry and owner of a best-selling brand.

Born in Britain but raised in Ibiza, where she learned to master the “sun kissed” look, her career began at the height of the supermodel era, so she had the chance to do Linda, Christy, Claudia, Naomi and Kate’s looks, with by the way she made a lot of memorable editorials. By the same time, a partnership with up and coming photographers such as Mario Testino, Terry Richardson and the duo Mert & Marcus, plus designers as Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and Christopher Bailey granted more exposure and prestigious jobs. Doing Vogue and Bazaar covers became the norm and her name, associated with a sexy and glamorous makeup (rumour has, that there’s no smoky eye like Charlotte’s, just look at the pictures above).

Before having her own line (and solve a mascara issue that led her to wear 4 different products daily), she consulted for some brands and even collaborated in Tom Ford’s line. However, she kept believing there weren’t high quality, easy to use products. The solution was to develop her own cosmetics, all with “TT” properties (treat and transform)!

The first range was built around easy to make looks, following different personalities. From the Ingénue to the Rock Chick, going by the Vintage Vamp, the Rebel and the Uptown Girl, there’s a choice for everyone and you can learn the step by step in the site tutorials. After watching it, you’ll understand why she named some of the products “magic”…
